Photography and publication releases

At times, we visit Pirkan opisto courses, classes and events to take photographs and make video recordings. The photos and videos are used for public relations, marketing and documenting purposes, for example, when describing the diverse operations of our institute through images.

We always ask the individuals being photographed or video recorded for their consent to appear in photographs and videos, and to have the material published.

Photography and publication release form for Pirkan opisto’s students

We ask our students to sign a release form with which they consent to being photographed/video recorded or having their projects or works photographed/recorded, and to having the photographs/videos published and used for the specified purposes.

Pirkan opisto uses the images for the purposes of public relations, marketing and communications related to Pirkan opisto. We never publish the names of clients or students appearing in a photograph or video without their express permission. A teacher’s name may be mentioned. The material is not used in a manner that is offensive to or violates the privacy of any individuals. The individuals appearing in the images are always portrayed in a positive light.

The images may be used

In Pirkan opisto’s brochures and course handbooks, which are distributed to households in the Pirkan opisto’s operating area and at public premises.
On the Pirkan opisto website or on the websites of the municipalities in which Pirkan opisto operates (Pirkkala, Nokia, Lempäälä and Vesilahti) in connection with news about Pirkan opisto.
On social media channels (e.g., Facebook and Instagram).
As press photographs offered to the media.
On electronic infoboards along traffic routes, in transport vehicles or in and on buildings.
On flyers, posters or brochures.
In newspaper advertisements and electronic advertisements. These may include, for example, banners, announcements and advertisements in online versions of newspapers.
In documents and presentations intended for internal use by Pirkan opisto. These may include, for example, Power Point presentations at personnel training events, seminars and parents’ meetings.

The release information and the material generated according to the release are stored in Pirkan opisto’s data systems. The image material is stored in the photographer’s private material bank for distribution and sharing.

Photography and publication releases for students of basic education in the arts, i.e. the arts schools and Music School

We ask our students for their consent to be photographed and video recorded with an electronic release form in the autumn at the beginning of each academic year. If the student is under 18 years of age, the form is signed by the minor child’s legal guardian.

You may retract your consent at any time. If a photograph or video has already been used in electronic or printed communications, the use of the said photograph or video may no longer be prevented in the specific medium. For example, printed brochures will not be withdrawn from distribution due to a retraction of consent. You may retract your consent by notifying the Pirkan opisto customer service of your retraction via email at pirkanopisto@nokiankaupunki.fi.

Retraction of photography and publication release

You may retract your consent at any time. If a consent is retracted, the images will be removed from Pirkan opisto’s data systems. If the material has already been used in electronic or printed communications, the use of the said material may no longer be prevented in the specific medium. For example, printed brochures will not be withdrawn from distribution due to a retraction.

You may retract your release by notifying Pirkan opisto’s communications coordinator of your retraction via email at eeva.suutari-saatsi (a) nokiankaupunki.fi.
