Pirkan Opisto COVID-19 customer briefing: the spring term for adult courses will begin with remote lessons

January 7th 2021

Due to recommendations issued on January 5th 2021 by the Pirkanmaa regional coordination group for the COVID-19 pandemic, Pirkan opisto will begin the spring term as follows:

  • Courses for adults at the Adult Education Centre and the Education of Arts

Courses for adults at the Adult Education Centre and the Education of Arts for the spring term of 2021 will begin as remote classes and continue as such until further notice. If, for some reason, remote teaching is not possible for a certain course, the course will be organized later in the year where it is possible. All courses that have been converted to remote lessons will return to contact teaching as soon as the COVID-19 situation permits it.

  • Courses for children and teenagers at the Adult Education Centre and the Education of Arts

Courses for children and teenagers at the Adult Education Centre and the Education of Arts will be carried out as contact teaching in groups of no bigger than 10 people.

As for adult-child courses, the same instructions apply as to adult courses.

  • Public events

All public events scheduled for the spring of 2021 will be, for the time being, organized remotely or will be postponed.

  • Registration

The registration time for all courses has been extended due to the special arrangements caused by the COVID-19 situation.

If you are unable to attend a course you have signed up for, you can cancel your enrollment for free up until the beginning of the course. You will not be billed for a course if the course does not begin.

Pirkan Opisto aims to inform registered students of any changes regarding their courses as quickly as possible.

We aim to continue making studying safe and flexible. Please follow our briefings and do not hesitate to sign up!
